Balancing your school work and social life can be extremely difficult, especially when the amount of homework you get starts to pile up. Finding a balance between these two parts of your life is very important so I would suggest splitting your focus between them. On weekends, instead of just doing homework or going out with friends, alternate between the two.
Creating some sort of system can really help you achieve this balance because you're not doing too much of either activity. For example, for every homework assignment you complete, you can update social media or text your friends. It is also good to go out with your friends at some point in the day to make sure that you're not just constantly doing work. Even though you probably see your friends almost every day in school, it is still good to hang out with them outside the school setting.
